Brookstar and all the other cats involved in the recent huge fox battle padded back into the camp, scratched up, fur ruffled, and tired. All the leader wanted to do was curl up in her den and go to sleep, but she had things to do. She jumped onto the EagleLedge, yowling for her clan to gather. “Cats of FalconClan! There has been a recent battle in the Forest, near the Hawthorn wood. We’ve gotten rid of them for now but we’ve also got to have extra patrols to ensure our clan’s safety. Nightclaw, Shadowmist, please would you each lead a patrol now, and Nightclaw, once you come back please tell other cats to lead patrols. Also, we need hunting patrols, as always, so Brookfur, please lead one, and Willowlilly, please also lead one.” She paused, then continued. “And there are also three more things. Violetgaze has... ah, given up her position as medicine cat. to become a warrior or elder. It is her choice. Pinepaw has also decided to become a warrior apprentice. I will appoint a new medicine cat. If there is any cat thinking to take up the post, please tell me after this meeting.
‘There is a new warrior joining us today.” Brookstar looked at the black tom with light green eyes. “His name is Sun. Sun, do you promise to protect and defend the warrior code and your clan, even with your very life?”
“I do, very much so.” Sun’s eyes were determined and sharp with intelligence.
“Then from now on you will be known as Sunshadow, and we welcome you as a full warrior of FalconClan.” Brookstar touched his forehead with her muzzle and he licked her shoulder.
‘Finally, Stormpaw has shown great courage and loyalty to his clan, and though I have had doubts I now strongly believe that it’s finally time to give him his warrior name. “Stormpaw, please come here.”
The gray apprentice, his eyes shining with excitement, bounded up to the EagleLedge. “Stormpaw, do you promise to protect and defend the warrior code and your clan, even with your very life?”
“I do.” The apprentice’s voice was firm and sure.
“Then from this moment on your name will be Stormpath. We honor your bravery and swiftness, and we welcome you as a full warrior of FalconClan.” Stormpath also licked her shoulder while Brookstar touched his forehead with her muzzle.
The clan erupted in cheers for the new warrior; Stormpath was popular among the apprentices, and they were glad that he was now a warrior.
“Stormpath, you will hold silent vigil tonight. For now, Fadingmist will help us will healing. Remember the patrols! Meeting dismissed.” Brookstar, exhausted, turned and headed for her den.

Brookfur thought for a moment, gazing in the direction of the med cat's den. The tangy scents wafted towards her, while she stood there, lost in thought, before Willowlilly sent her brain pelting back to the clan with a swift lick. She shuddered and snapped, "What?" and chose a few cats to go with her also.

Nightshadow shrugged. "We haven't been out yet. Would you like us to organize a hunting patrol?"
ReplyDelete"Go ahead. Actually, I'll come with you; I need to get my paws moving," the usually stern leader gave them a friendly smile.
ReplyDeleteNightshadow nodded, slightly taken aback. "Should we take any other cats with us?" Next to her Sunshadow looked around.
ReplyDeleteBrookstar shook her head. "Most of us are on patrol or hunting, and I don't want the camp unprotected after the fox attack." She looked up. "Darkflame, you're in charge!" She flicked her tail at Nightshadow and Sunshadow, leading them out of camp.

"OK," Sunshadow nodded, following his leader. Nightshadow walked behind him as they left, looking behind her shoulder, half expecting foxes to leap out of nowhere onto the cats of the clan.

ReplyDeleteSnowpaw called out Stormpath's name when he was recieven his warrior name.
(Could you maybe, possibly kill of Frostpelt, Streampaw, and Stonepaw, I never role play as them and.. yeah. I never role play them... Also Featherpaw and Lionpaw, my cousin Feather role plays them but she quit blogger a couple months ago, and I didn't even know until last week when I went to her house... sorry!)
There could be an incident where in the patrol Frostpelt, Streampaw and Stonepaw get killed by a badger!

Talonstrike padded up to Shadowmist. "Need a cat for the patrol?" He asked the she-cat, flicking his tail at her. "I can go." He sat down in front of her, his tail curled around his paws.
Nightclaw glanced at Berylmist, flicking his ear. "To IceClan's border?"

Talonstrike swept his gaze around at the cats around them and flicked his tail at Shadownight, who padded over. "Yeah?"
"Come with us? We need to patrol the border."
"Sure." The dark warrior licked one paw and sat down.
"Problem solved," the senior ginger warrior said, looking at Shadowmist.

ReplyDeleteBerylmist smirked and she headed towards the gorse entrance. Azurefern came bounding up to them. "Can I come with?" She asked the two. Berylmist nodded, and the four cats padded downhill to the Hawthorn Wood, which was on the border of IceClan.
Talonstrike nodded. "We gotta keep the rivals in check," he commented, and Shadownight murmured his agreement as the three padded towards Shadowpines. On the edge of the dark, scary wood, was the border to ThistleClan.
